Dr Puneet Chandna: In my experience i have seen a lots of patients form the eastern part of India approaching CMC vellore for the treatment. My last two visits to the latest TMC in Kolkata, i was of the opinion that they are treating patients in various categories poor and private both. it is strange that we see this as an input. ANY comments shall be helpful

‘40% cancer patients die untreated’ – The Times of India.

KOLKATA: More than 40% of the state’s cancer patients die without treatment and a quarter of them is never diagnosed and the rest never make it to a specialized treatment centre. On Sunday, these disturbing facts, revealed in a study by Bengal Oncology Foundation (a platform of oncologists), were discussed at a seminar on ‘Cost of Cancer Treatment’, organized by the foundation.
