What are the symptoms of high SGPT levels?

SGPT is also called as alanine aminotransferase or ALT in newer classification and reporting. Isolated normal SGPT levels in Blood for men was an ALT of 29 international unit/L and for women was an ALT of 22 international unit/L. Alt level in case alone escalated may be due to obesity and abdominal fats. Its ratio with SGOT to ALT is often to be considered for any co-relation to a faulty liver function. This ratio AST to ALT ratio if found to be  2:1 or greater is suggestive of alcoholic liver disease. More can be stated with conditions. wish this helps so far.
